Xiaomi has finally launched the entry-level smartphone dubbed as Redmi 9C in Nepal. It was unveiled alongside Redmi 9A in the Redmi 9 series family a few months ago. But it took quite a time to arrive in Nepal. The smartphone is launched in Nepal as part of the #DashainWithMi campaign.
Redmi 9C is a budget device that is filling the gaps between Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 in the Nepali market. Compare to Redmi 9A it has a better design, SoC, Cameras, and much more.
Redmi 9C – Overview
Design and Display
Talking about the design of Redmi 9C it is very similar to that of Redmi 9A.
It has a very stylish and funky look. The smartphone has a noticeable chin and comes with very thin bezels all around the corner of the smartphone. Redmi 9C comes with an all-plastic design with a large 6.53-inch HD+ dewdrop display at the front. At the back, we also get a capacitive fingerprint se Redmi 9C comes with a waterdrop notch that hides a front camera of 5MP. Talking more about the design we get a dedicated Micro-SD card slot, 3.5mm jack, and a MicroUSB port.
Redmi 9C Camera
Redmi 9C comes with a triple-camera setup at the back. With its primary sensor being a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Along with that, we get a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots and a 2MP macro Lens.
At the front, we have a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device supports features like HDR and portrait mode at both the front and back. It can also record video up to 1080p FHD at 30fps.
Performance
we get MediaTek Helio G35 with PowerVR GE8320 handling the GPU duties along with 2 or 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Helio G35 is an octa-core CPU with 4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. This device will handle regular day-today tasks easily with social media scrolling and Online classes with low-end gaming.
On software front Redmi 9C runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 skin on top.
Battery and Connectivity
Redmi 9C runs a massive battery of 5,000mAh battery which has now been the standard for the devices at this price point, along with support for 10W fast charging. The brand claims that the smartphone can provide 167 hours of Music, 32 hours of Calls, 10 hours of Gaming, and 21 hours of Videos. It comes with a USB Type-C charging port.

Redmi 9C Price And Availability In Nepal
Redmi 9C has been priced Rs. 12,499 for 2/32GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for a 3/64GB variant in Nepal and it will be available for purchase across all official Mi stores and online platforms very soon in Nepal.
The smartphone is available in three different color variants such as Midnight Grey, Twilight Blue, and Sunrise Orange.
