Though online transactions have grown so much, people still use physical recharge cards to top-up their SIM. And sometimes you’re just having a nasty day and ruin your recharge card.
I’ve messed quite few of those recharge cards. And you know, it’s just frustrating cause you mostly can’t do anything about it.
But maybe now, it won’t be as much of a bitter experience when it happens, if you’re a NTC user. You see, NTC has brought forth something called “PIN Recovery” whereby you'll recover your recharge card by using 6 visible digits.
As long as you've got 6 readable digits within the card, you'll head right down to NTC’s pin recovery website and have your card recovered.
How to recover NTC PIN from Recharge Card?
It’s pretty simple actually. As you'll already remember , there are a complete of 16 digits within the Recharge card. Out of these 16 digits, albeit you are doing manage to erase 10 digits, you continue to need just 6 digits to recover the pin.Just head on right down to NTC’s pin recovery website, http://pinrecovery.ntc.net.np/. Then you only got to provide within the service number—your telephone number really, then type within the serial number of the recharge card. After you’ve done that, type within the 6-digit serial number and that’s it.
There are still some minor details that you need to know before you head on for recovery.
- First is that, you have to provide the exact same position of the digits in order. Those places that have missing/damaged digits are often filled using ‘X’ symbol.
- The other thing to recollect is that you simply are only allowed to retry for five times. That’s the limit, if things fail then , you’ll then need to visit Nepal Telecom’s CSR counter for recovery.
