Google's developed OS for Smartphone "Android 11" is coming soon and one among the large new features is “Bubbles.” The API for these floating Bubbles has been around since Android 10, they’re now available for all users. Google is additionally testing an identical Chat Head-like bubble for Google Assistant.

Chat Heads” feature was first introduced in Facebook's Messenger app a few yeargyear ago  Your conversations can float on top of anything you’re doing for quick access. We imagine that’s an equivalent idea behind the Google Assistant bubble. Users won’t got to press a physical button or gesture to mention the Assistant. It’s always right the screen.

According to an APK teardown performed by 9to5Google, Google app 11.21 includes two strings that explains the functionality. there's a tutorial that details how you'll “Tap to speak to your Assistant.” Another string mentions how you'll drag the bubble to rock bottom of the screen to dismiss it, and this refers to the feature as an “Assistant Chat Head Bubble.”

Currently the functionality is basic. Tapping the bubble, which is Google Assistant icon, brings up the Assistant panel from rock bottom of the screen. The bubble are often dragged to any edge. We’re unsure if there'll be a replacement UI when this feature is formed official, though. It’s also not clear at this point the way to open the Assistant Chat Head Bubble.

Is this a feature you'd use? It seems inessential with all the opposite ways to launch Google Assistant, but not every device has an equivalent options. this is often yet one more way Google can confirm people have quick access to the Assistant.
